We are still sitting at 1 lb. and 15 oz., but Morgan Kate is continuing to tolerate her feedings and I feel certain that 2 lbs. is in our near future. I'm not sure if she has outgrown the tiny diapers (aka "Wee-Pees") or the NICU was just out of them, but tonight she got to wear a big preemie diaper (they are for preemies around 4-5 lbs.). It was so funny to see her in it. It looked like a coat! I'm pretty sure they were just low on "Wee-Pees" - these other diapers are entirely too large.

At 11pm tonight they will increase her feedings to 7.6 cc's. After tonight they will not increase her feedings again until she gains some weight or until they come down or off of IV fluids. She has maxed out on her feedings for her weight.

This morning her blood gases (blood work they do each morning) came back borderline. Up until this point her gases had looked great. Around 3ish today they were talking again about the CPAP. They did her blood gases again around 4 and they looked good. Therefore, she is still without the CPAP. Yeah, one more day!

Morgan Kate and I got to kangaroo again today. It is such an indescribable feeling. It's a feeling of contentment and peace. It breaks my heart that I don't get to hold her more or that I can't comfort her when something is wrong. Today she was a little fussy and all I could do was hold her little finger. I couldn't rock her or hold her, or even pat her back. It was such an awful feeling! However, I just keeping looking forward to our "kangaroo sessions" and the time we get to spend together.

Praises for the good blood counts this afternoon. After Morgan Kate gets home, you could probably teach biology! You are learning so much. I know will use what you are going through now to allow you to minister to someone else down the road. Please tell Morgan Kate that she has lots of love in Georgia! We love you! Aunt Terry

Heather, I love reading the blog and keeping up to date with you and Morgan Kate. Miss Betty also keeps me well informed. She told me last night she got to spend some time with you and thinks that not only is Morgan Kate precious but you are also! My prayers continue to surround all of you! Love, Gwen

Even though you may only be able to hold Morgan Kate's finger, she knows you're there and that will give her the determination to grow stronger each day! You keep doing what you're doing. You're already a fantastic mother. I admire your strength. Love you, Hollie

I love reading your blog and keeping up on the progress of Morgan Kate. She seems to be doing outstanding. She is very blessed to have you and Travis as parents. I know you feel like you can't do much for her, but being there for her is so important. A friend of mines sister had her baby at 20 weeks. She is single and lives and works about 45 minutes away from the hospital, so she does not get to visit her little boy very often. The experience that you are getting with Morgan Kate at Baptist is wonderful, I think it is a great program they have. You are a wonderful mother and I know it seems so hard right now, but times like this only make you stronger! I admire you and Travis! As I said before I would love to come give you company one dau, but do not want to come at a bad time. Do you have a cell #, I can call before. Again, you are all in our prayers! By the way, just to keep you updated on the neighborhood, the hurricane did not hit Charleston and Lauren and Jason were able to get married! The wedding was great and Lauren looked beautiful! We are moving into our house this weekend, thank goodness. We are excited to get out of the apt!
My very best to you all!
