A couple of weeks ago I discovered Pinterest. It's now my "go-to" for all things crafty and teachery. I'm still trying to figure it all out, but in the middle of my "learning" I found this adorable crayon wreath and decided to give it a try. I'm pretty good at following directions.
I gathered all of my supplies.
I used everything above for my final project except the wire hangers. I was only using them because I was trying to be super cheap, but I didn't have the patience to bend them and turn them and all of that jazz. Instead of the hangers I used what the directions called for, two embroidery hoops. They were only $1.69 a piece - still super cheap. The crayons were forty cents a box and I already had the glue gun, glue sticks and ribbon. Total, the project cost me less than $5.00. How awesome is that?
I must say that I was very pleased with my final project. So pleased that I even made another for a dear friend. Check it out...
The frog was $0.29 and the white plaque thingy was less than a dollar, so I guess my actual total was about $6. Crazy, huh? |
