Today Morgan Kate had her Easter egg hunt and party at school. My principal was so gracious and kind and allowed me to leave for an hour or so in order to attend. There are lots of things I love about my school, but one reason in particular is because they get the whole "family thing". Not only did it mean the world to me to be able to attend, but it meant the world to my girl. I had already told her I was coming, but the minute she saw me she was so excited. Melt my heart. Again.
Morgan Kate has eleven other children in her class and they are all so precious and so incredibly sweet. Seriously. They are just beautiful children on the inside and out. They got to hunt for eggs three times because they are three years old. Morgan Kate and I had several egg hunts Monday afternoon so she was more than ready for the egg hunts today.
At the end of the egg hunt each child got to take 12 eggs home. The eggs were filled with small toys, stickers and/or soft candy.
After the egg hunt we all went inside for a special Easter snack. All of the little ones sat in their special seats. They said their blessing and then dined on fresh fruit, chex mix and tie-dyed cupcakes (courtesy of Morgan Kate's mommy). They also got a goody bag to take home.
It was such a sweet day. I was so thankful to be a part of such happiness and innocence. I was so thankful for sweet friends for my baby girl. I was so thankful for teachers who love my child like she is their own. And most of all, I was so thankful to spend that time with my beautiful baby girl.
