I only thought summer break as a child was fun. Summer break as a mommy is the absolute best. Seriously. Morgan Kate and I are having such a good time. We've been busy with swimming lessons this week, but afternoons are spent playing and reading and relaxing and doing whatever it is we want to do. We have no time frame, no schedule, no agenda. I've even had time to reorganize our kitchen cabinets, do laundry and catch up on some TV. I am in heaven.
Swimming lessons are going okay. I am so, so thankful for this opportunity because I think it's important for Morgan Kate to have this exposure and I adore her "swim teacher". However, MK isn't loving it. Day one was fine because she didn't know what to expect. Day two brought some tears and day three, today, brought lots of tears and lots of "I want to go home". It's been rainy and cloudy and only 65 degrees here, so the weather has been less than desirable. I will say though, that despite the tears, occasional screaming and awful weather, MK perseveres. She keeps going and she has made it through each lesson. Maybe by Friday the sun will shine and MK's smile will return.

I'm so glad you're enjoying your break. It's been a while since I last visited your blog. She is getting so big!
