I'm watching...nothing at this very moment, but currently my most favorite nighttime show is Bizarre Foods on the Travel Channel. L.O.V.E. Travis and I could sit for hours and watch this. During my morning hours I prefer the Today Show, especially the Kathie Lee and Hoda portion. I also really love Kelly and Michael. Michael makes me laugh out loud. That's saying a lot, because TV shows rarely make me laugh out loud.
I'm reading...Carry On, Warrior: Thoughts on Life Unarmed. I saw that several others out there in BlogLand were reading this and I thought I would give it a go. I've literally only read the first chapter, but I'm excited to keep reading. I did just finish four, that's right, four books, for the start of school. Y'all, this is a huge deal! I'm really kind of proud of myself. I didn't have to read these books. I chose to. And now, I have four new books to introduce to my kiddos once school starts back. I've never been a big reader. Sad, I know, especially since I'm a teacher, but I'm working on it and I'm enjoying it more. As cliche as it may sound, the more I read, the more I want to read.
I'm listening to...the rain falling outside of our kitchen window. I'm kinda over the rain, but there's just something soothing about a late afternoon storm. I can also hear Jake and the Neverland Pirates in the background.

I need to...make dentist appointments for all of us. I don't particularly enjoy the dentist and let's just say that I'm a little overdue.
I'm creating...to do lists every.single.day. It never stops. But, I'm okay with it. I love making lists and then scratching things off as I finish.
I'm cooking...beef enchiladas. One of my most favorite and easiest meals to make. Oh, and rutabagas. I LOVE rutabagas. Seriously. One of my favorite foods.
I'm shopping for...school clothes. I'm like a kid at Christmas. I still love shopping for "back to school" clothes. I like to have new options and choices for those first few days back. I get a little giddy about it. I still have many child like tendencies.
I'm organizing...nothing. I'm finished. Last summer I did some major reorganizing and this summer I just had to return things to their home. Everything had a place, it just hadn't necessarily made its way back there. The only room I really organized was Morgan Kate's. It was awful. I'll have to do an separate post about that.
I'm proud of...myself for already making my annual summer trip to the teacher store, also known as Educational Wonderland. I usually save this trip for the days just before school starts back. I regret it each year because it's always packed with teachers such as myself who wait until the last minute. And there's not usually a lot left to choose from because I've waited so long. However, that's not going to be a problem this year. I went yesterday and got all of it done. It was not packed and most everything was in stock. The two items that weren't in stock were able to be ordered and will be shipped to my house free of charge. Awesome, awesome, awesome! If I don't get anything else done this week, I will still feel accomplished just because of this.
I'm looking forward to...enjoying these last few weeks of summer. I want to savor each and every day and all of the little moments in between.
I'm loving...this quote. Someone posted it on Facebook last week and I loved it. Waiting is hard. Really hard. I'm not very good at it.
I'm very grateful for...a job that allows me to spend summers at home with my family. I feel like I have the best of both worlds. I get to be a working mom most of the year, but I also get to be a stay at home mom for a few weeks, too. The weeks at home allow me to rest and relax and be a better mom and wife for the rest of the year. I enjoy sleeping in, not setting a clock, not having an agenda and spending my days with my girl. I have time to cook and clean and actually in some weird kind of way enjoy it. I get to stay up late with my hubby and not feel rushed to get in the bed because I have to get up so early. I get to catch up with friends and family. Needless to say, I'm extremely grateful.
