Today Morgan Kate had a better day! She is still under the "cookie jar", but seems to like it more than the nasal cannula. The nasal cannula stuck directly in her nose and the air flow went straight in. It really irritated her nose and dried things out. Her oxygen was up and down all day and ranged anywhere from 29% - 44%. When Travis and I left tonight she was on 31%. It's a relief to see her coming down some, but ultimately we would like for her oxygen to be in the 20's.

She was very alert today. At one time today Morgan Kate was awake for almost 45 minutes. She was busy looking around, holding my finger and wiggling her arms and legs. It was adorable! Her eyes are beautiful and she had then wide open. I could have watched her for hours. However, as soon as her next feed started she was out again.

Morgan Kate weighed in tonight at three pounds and three ounces. Our little girl is growing, growing, growing and we couldn't be happier. Once she reaches four pounds she will be able to wear clothes. I already have some precious preemie onesies that I can't wait to put on her.

Tomorrow is Kaky's surgery and we are all pretty anxious. We are ready for it to be over and for Kaky to be well on her way to recovery. Tonight Morgan Kate and I prayed that Kaky's surgery would go well, that the doctors and nurses would have the knowledge they need and that Kaky would be brave and strong.

What great news about her weight gain...she'll be wearing all those cute "girlie" clothes soon. You can see her growth in the pictures. I'm praying for you tomorrow as you're being strong for Morgan Kate and your mom. I know the surgery is going to go well and she'll recover quickly...she has the best motivation:) Give Morgan Kate a kiss from me. Praying for you, MK and At. Kathy. Love you lots, Kelly

Hey Heather!

I don't know of a stronger, braver person that Kaky! I definitely would want her on my side! I have just had my quiet time and have lifted her up in prayer. Every day for Morgan Kate is such a joy. Maggie's principal game me a bookmark about how to pray for your children daily. Today's prayer was for our children to uphold justice. I have enjoyed referring to it daily. Can't wait to see Morgan Kate in some of her outfits. That will be fun for you! Love, Aunt Terry

So glad you all had a better day. Wow! One more ounce...what a blessing! With every ounce gained Morgan Kate is even stronger to keep on fighting! She is quite determined. She'll be a fun teenager :). I hope you and Travis are feeling better. Don't neglect yourselves. I'm praying especially for Kaky today. I'm anxious to hear the outcome of her surgery. Love you!

Hello my friend,
I have not kept up with the blog for the last couple of days. Oh what joy! It is hard to believe that little Morgan Kate is growing so quickly. I shouldn't say that I have two of my own and I know how fast they grow...
It is good news to hear. I am very proud of you all for being so strong.
Love and miss you.

Heather,
I think you are going to have to call this little angel "cookie" from now on... she is just the most precious sight!! I am super excited that her weight continues to increase- every gift is from above and every 'ounce' is filled with love. I am so grateful for your blog and your selflessness to keep us updated. The love of our Lord reflects through you- as it should be. I am delighted that you list specific prayer requests. Your family is in our prayers - words of encouragement.

Colossians 2:5 For though I may be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
Remain constant in your faith just as Christ is the same yesterday as he is today and will forever be tomorrow. I pray that you feel our prayers and love.
Forever, Chi

Go Morgan Kate! You keep gaining those little ounces girl! I can't wait to see you all dressed up. We are all so happy to hear that Kaky's surgery is over and it sounds like everything went well. We'll take good care of her when she gets back to O'burg and have her ready to hold that baby soon.
Love,
Kathy C.

Heather I recently found out both that you had a baby and that there were complications. I want you to know that I am praying for you and your family. I can't think of a person who would be a better mother. Stay strong and she is beautiful.
