A Night with Santa

So much to catch up on.

Morgan Kate has been sick with a virus and the croup, so all of our time has been devoted to getting her better. After the weekend and two days at home this week, I think she's on the mend. This respiratory stuff is no joke.

Last Tuesday night, after we vacuumed 18 or so gallons of water off of our kitchen floor (washing machine malfunction), we headed to Kate's for the annual night with Santa. We started this tradition three years ago and it never disappoints. I think Travis and I have just as much fun as MK and all of her friends. Kate and her parents are so kind to include us on such a special night.
Morgan Kate was so excited and kept asking, "When are we going? When are we going?"
Santa sits at the front door so he is literally the first person you see when you walk in. Of course my girl has no problem sitting in Santa's lap. She gets it honest. Santa is one of my favorite people ever.

Sweet McNary loved the big man in red as well.
This picture of my little family makes me so happy.
All of MK's friends from Roddey's come for the big night and they are always so stinkin' cute!
These gorgeous babies are all cousins - Sunni, McNary, Mac and Annie Parker. And that is their amazing grandmother, Momma Jan. Annie Parker and Mac weren't so sure of Santa, but with Momma Jan by their side, they were all smiles.
I just love these sweet babies!
After all the kiddos get a turn talking to Santa he reads "Twas the Night Before Christmas". I looked away for one second and when I turned back around Morgan Kate was in his lap. Oh.My.Goodness.
She and her friends helped Santa turn the pages.
This is also one of my favorite pictures. This is THE Roddey and all of her precious babies. Some she has kept since they were teeny tiny babes. Others are now in "big" school and she only keeps them on occasion. Either way - she is so good with all of them and they love her dearly.

It was such a special night. A night we look forward to each year!
