Not a lot of time to post tonight. I decided to stay at the hospital tonight with Morgan Kate. I am using a laptop, but the battery is fading and my internet signal is not strong. Morgan Kate is perfectly fine - I just had a hard time this afternoon and wanted to stay with her tonight.

She had a really good day today. Her daddy got to hold her for over an hour late this afternoon. She did awesome in his arms! She is still 2 lbs and 1 ounce, but I know more weight is in our very near future. Her feedings are still at 8.1 cc's. The only thing that really changed today was her caffeine medication. They increased it from 6mg to 10 mg because of her NEW weight.

Please continue to keep Morgan Kate in your prayers - they are definitely working - and say a little prayer for Mommy too. My emotions are getting the best of me!

Heather you have had so many "highs and lows" it is understandable that you feel emotional and overwhelmed at times. You have been remarkably strong. It is very natural to feel what you are feeling. Remember that your little girl is truely a miracle and that you have done the very best you could. Take comfort in that, in the love and well wishes of your friends and family and in God's abundant peace and love.

Heather, you're doing so well. No one can imagine what you're going through. Becoming a first time mother is difficult, but having to deal with Morgan Kate's prematurity is even more hard. Take comfort in Morgan Kate's determination to get better. One day you'll look back on all of this. Let us know if there's anything we can do to help.

Heather,
Please find comfort in knowing that you are not alone. I think about you daily and know how overwhelmed you must feel. Try to remember to take one minute at a time and to lean on those around you. Clearly, Morgan Kate gets her strength from her Mommy! Continue to remain strong in faith and know our prayers are with all of you. Love you, Laura

Heather being a mom can be one of the hardest jobs that you will have. But you and Morgan Kate are two of the strongest people I know! Just have faith in God's love and know that he will help you to get through everything. We will continue to pray!

Hang in there Sweetie! It sounds like Morgan Kate is doing great. You have to remember that your body has been through a lot lately too, so take care of yourself. Hormones are TOUGH to handle sometimes! You are in our prayers constantly - ALL of you! You're doing a wonderful job "Mom"! Put some kisses on that sweet little head for me this weekend!

Love,
Kathy Chaplin

Being a mother is the most amazing and overwhelming feeling ever.... sometimes you need Morgan Kate as much as she needs you, and that is okay!! Listen to your heart and your body and take care of yourself. You are doing great, and you have so much love and support to surround and uplift you! Hang in there and stay strong---remember to look at how far all of you have come in such a short time and celebrate!! Love and hugs to you!!
