Sleepy night, awake night, sleepy night, awake night. You guessed it. Last night was an awake night - an all night awakenight. Travis and I got an hour of sleep. We got in the bed at midnight, Morgan Kate awoke at 1 am and remained awake and fussing until about 6:30. We tried everything. We rocked, we walked (as much as you can walk with an oxygen tank and two monitors attached), we used the car seat, we played music, I attempted to sing or hum, we changed her diaper, we tried a bottle. Nothing worked. We tried taking turns and letting the other rest, but last night called for double duty. Needless to say, we have slept every available chance today and we are praying for a better night tonight. At this very moment she is fast asleep in her car seat.

We thought the new formula was working, but now we aren't so sure. She has been spitting up a good bit and tonight she had some projectile vomit. Sorry to be so graphic. I was covered in it. The new formula has also made her quite regular and now we are dealing with a diaper rash. Good thing our appointment is first thing in the morning. Hopefully we can figure something out. She is just not very happy right now and I really think it's her stomach bothering her.

On a little lighter note, I ordered Morgan Kate several pair of Baby Legs. I found them on another website and thought they were adorable. I just ordered them Monday and they arrived yesterday. Talk about fast service. They look like leg warmers from the 80's, but they cover her entire legs. When I first saw them I wasn't really sure how they worked, but their website had tons of pictures on how to use them. Morgan Kate has a ton of newborn onesies, but it's a little too cool to wear them without pants. Pants are a whole other topic - too much to take off to change a diaper. Anyway, with the baby legs you don't have to take them off to change diapers. Also, when a baby has a diaper rash and needs to air out, the baby legs can stay on and keep the baby warm. They also happen to be super cute on her! I love em' and highly recommend them to any moms with infants.

I'll be sure to post tomorrow about our doctor's appointment. Wish us luck and say a prayer!

Try SOY formula. It's the cure-all.
It will get easier...I mean like when she turns 12, but it WILL get easier:0)
I'm so happy she's home with you guys!

Nothing is too graphic for parents. I would have never thought it, but a year's experience did the trick. On the diaper rash, we use Flanders. You have to ask for it from behind the counter at CVS..but our pediatrician swears by it. We have had very little problems with diaper rash, but when they are "regular"...it is tough to keep their bottoms from not being red.

We found that boudreaux's butt paste worked best for our two and cleared up a diaper rash super fast. Also, my daughter was on zantac for reflux and it didnt do a thing. She was then switched to prevacid. Is her pediatrician willing to try prevacid for her? Hope all is well at the doc in the AM and also hope you guys get some sleep!

Hey Guys, So sorry it was an all nighter. Glad that you are getting sleep in between. Ask your pediatrician about papaya tablets for reflux. It works wonders for reflux. Ask your pediatrician about Soy milk. There alot of products for diaper rash some use flanders. Different medications work for individual babies as well as different formulas. See if your pediatrician is willing to try some of those products. Morgan Kate looks like a cute little leg Diva. We are continuing to pray for Her, you and Travis. Give Morgan Kate lots of Hugs and Kisses for us. Hope Kyle is doing well after his sx.
We love you, Travis and Morgan Kate. God is awesome and I pray that His Hand continues to be upon Morgan Kate, you and Travis.
Until we see you again.

For some reason, all I can think of is "Flashdance". Love the leg warmers! They didn't make them that cute when we were little! Welcome to the club. The official initiation is being covered in projectile vomit :). Enfamil makes a formula for gassy/fussy babies. Gentle release, I think. Try Buddreaux's for the rash and also, Chapin Pharmacy has their own special formula for diaper rash that is supposedly really good!
Love you and miss you. Hang in there. She'll get used to it all.

The baby legs are PRECIOUS! Of course, Morgan Kate looks cute in anything you put on her. I love those, though. I hope y'all got some more sleep last night and I also hope you get some good news from the doctor this morning. Thoughts and prayers continue to be with you daily. Love and miss you. Merry Christmas!

If she does have reflux, as about a wedge, that is what helped Parker a TON! He had to sleep on it for about 4 months and seriously, things got better.

I hope you do figure things out, sorry my tips didn't help ya out last night! It gets easier, I promise!
