Tonight as I was making the six ounces of formula needed for tomorrow I realized that our formula days will officially be over Thursday. If I am estimating correctly. And I have been known to be a little off a time or two. With that being said, I have a question. Of course I could call my pediatrician and ask her or just wait for our appointment next week (2nd flu shot), but I thought I would get your answers first. How much milk should a soon to be 14 month old get in a day? Right now she is averaging 21-28 ounces of her formula/milk concoction, along with three meals a day. Oh, and a snack here and there. And all of that seems to be working great because this girl is growing, growing. Just look at her sitting in her big girl chair.

Speaking of food. If your child has teeth or can eat a puff then you should definitely try these. Lil' Crunchies are the best.

They come in a variety of flavors, but Cinnamon Maple is their newest. Morgan Kate loves them. The dogs love them. And Travis and I even love them, especially the cheese flavored ones. I just break them in half and Morgan Kate goes to town. You have really got to try these.

I love that chair! Did you get it from pottery barn or is there somewhere else that sells them (Hopefully a little less expensive!) Shes so stinkin' cute!!

When I took N & J for their 1 year appt, the doc said no more than 20 oz of milk a day; 16-20 is recommended and no more than 4-6 oz of juice. My kids (especially Noah) tend to drink more than that and will not drink water so I do give them a little more milk. You're like me with the formula- I couldnt stand to throw money down the drain and so we ended up finishing up our cans.

At our 12 month apt we were told between 16-20 oz of milk also and no more than 4-6 oz of juice. I don't like to give Audrey (19 months-tomorrow) straight juice so she still gets it watered down which I will do until she is closer to 2. MK isn't a whole lot smaller than Audrey so I think 16-20 oz of milk is good. Sometimes I give Audrey a little more before bed if she didn't eat well that day.

I will definitely try the little crunchies with Brandon. I am always looking for new things for him to try.

The pediatrician told us that a baby should have no more than 24 ounces of whole milk a day. That 24 ounces also includes yogurt since it is made with whole milk. On the average they said a baby should have 16 ounces of milk and no less than 12 ounces.

What a cute picture of Morgan Kate sitting in her chair.

We were told 16-24 ounces of milk is fine, but absolutely no more than 24 ounces.

Have you taken MK to the dentist yet? We took Kayley and they said she has very low enamel due to her prematurity so we have to brush her teeth often and the dentist said no juice because of it.

I can't remember an exact amount for the milk. I just gave them the option of milk or water at meals. I never gave the option of juice, and both of them have turned out well so far. At daycare and birthday parties they get juice boxes now, but only for snacks or something special. At meal time the only options are milk/water. This worked well for my kids. Too much juice can cause major teeth issues later on,so I think it is best to limit the juices.
:) Love ya!
